LG Ice Maker - Check your connector
My main disappointment is that the LG fridge is less than 3 years old and the ice maker quit working. If you need to replace your ice maker, take the time to remove the old one and see which connector it has. There is one with a yellow connector and one with a white connector. The unit itself is the same, but the connectors are not quite the same length. They both have 20 pins (not all are used) but they are slightly different in overall length. The yellow one is a little longer and will not plug into the connection on the door of the white one.My main disappointment is that the LG fridge is less than 3 years old and the ice maker quit working. Didn’t fit my connections as stated
The reason for my review is that it said it would work with my ice maker, well it all looks the same just did not have the same electrical connections to be able to replace it with my old one. Luckily all I needed was the ice tray so that is all I used off this product and made mine work correctly again, $85 fir an ice tray is a bit much but worth it in the long rum
