Ice Princess is an amazing movie! :*) Ice Princess is a wonderful movie about a brainy highschool girl, who turns into an ice princess. She skates so wonderfully, but her mother does not approve. To me it is a heart warming story: I love the romance and comedy in the movie. My favorite scene is where she does a double lutz (two spins and landing on ice) perfectly. I’ve skated before, and a double lutz seems pretty impossible! I LOVE how Casey Carlyle (the skater) stands up for herself in front of her mom saying, “I love skating mom, and no I’m giving up your dream!”. Casey gives up her other dreams to be a skater!!! Very good family movie
I really liked this movie. It is a touching story about a girl named Casey(played by Michelle Trachtenberg) that loves physics and has been working hard all her life to go to Harvard. She decides to do a physics project on figure skating and falls in love with the sport. Despite her moms(played by Joan cusack) dream for her to go to Harvard, she starts following her own dream of skating. The movie is very touching. It's a great family movie as there is no bad language or sexual situations. It is rated G. It is still a great movie for all ages. You won't be disappointed with this film.I really liked this movie. If you believe in holding onto a dream against all obstacles, this movie is for you. A young physics genius works on a project to win a scholarship to Harvard. While working on the project, she discovers that Harvard is not the dream she wants -- rather it has always been her mother's dream. Will she be true to herself and discover her identity before entering Harvard? This movie is a must-see if you believe in dreams, best friends, and the unbreakable bonds of mother/daughter love. Ice Princess
Wow this was a lot more powerful than I expected it to be. My daughter (age 5) loves Ice Skating and so I thought this would be a good movie for her Birthday. I expected a underdog kind of movie where the kid really triumphs in the end and it is but it's also about following your own path and not allowing anyone else (even well meaning Mothers & Fathers) to dictate what that dream is. I really enjoyed watching this with my daughter and talk it inspired later. It's alway nice to find out what she really thinks. Bouncy_tigWow this was a lot more powerful than I expected it to be.
