Nostalgic Christmas Family Entertainment
If you enjoy sentimental Christmas family movies, this is one to watch. For all ages, for kids from 1- 92 😉 A younger Sam Elliot and Cloris Leachman are very convincing in their roles as father and reclusive widow. I watched this movie on the Hallmark Channel many years ago and loved it. Was looking on Ebay at Xmas movies and had to purchase one for my collection. Was a great deal and brand new. Prancer: Worth More than One Look
I bought this because I could not always find it on TV during the Christmas season. It is a movie which contains: family conflict and resolution, childhood concern for animals, a "wild" animal responding well to childhood kindness, childhood determination which has a side effect that leads a recluse back into society, sibling conflict overcome by love, society response to childhood concerns, etc. While some might argue that the story line is a bit far fetched, even beyond fantasy, the acting is not always stellar, etc., I would argue that the movie, taken in its entirity, can teach families as well as entertain which makes up for any shortfalls. I would also argue that if it were watched carefully more than one time, the viewer wouold see elements the second viewing not noted ... I bought this because I could not always find it on TV during the Christmas season. Prancer, One of the Best Christmas Movies
I took my children to the movie 'Prancer' when they were small, and we all loved it. Now that I have grandchildren, I wanted to share the experience of this wonderful movie with them. After searching for it locally, I couldn't find it, and the only television stations that run it cut some of the content to make it fit into their timeslot. So I decided to check ebay for a DVD of 'Prancer' and I was thrilled to find a new one there. 'Prancer' is a wonderful Christmas movie for the whole family, one that ranks right up there with 'It's a Wonderful Life' and it was difinitely worth the search to own it.I took my children to the movie 'Prancer' when they were small, and we all loved it. I love Prancer
I have this movie on VHS, after reading some of the reviews, it was said that some parts have been left out, such as the scenes with the little girls Aunt picking out a dress for her for the Christmas Program at school. I haven't reviewed this movie as of yet, and am hoping that the review I read about the missing scenes it's true. When going from a VHS to a DVD, there really is no reason to cut scenes on anything. Most people get the movie in DVD form due to the fact that it isn't always possible to use a VHS machine anymore, or find one to buy, with that combination, they are extremely hard to find. So I'm hoping that this movie hasn't be altered in any way as Cutting scenes..I'll be extremely sad, and Leary about worrying that that may be an outcome for another beloved movie.
