LIES MY MOTHER TOLD ME: This Lifetime TV movie was based on a true story, and follows the peculiar behavior patterns of con artist Laren Sims (Joely Richardson). Sims runs through numerous identity changes as she attempts to escape probation for using stolen credit cards. But when she settles in Las Vegas her past soon catches up with her. WIDOW ON THE HILL: Linda Dupree Cavanaugh (Natasha Henstridge) is a soon-to-be wealthy widower who is suspected of poisoning her former husband. Having married him after a career spent as a lowly nurse, people are naturally very suspicious. But the film packs an intriguing twist which will keep viewers guessing right up until the end.

    Good Value Two Disc Set

    I purchased this DVD as I am an avid fan of Joely Richardson. Lies My Mother told me did not disappoint me and I found it to be a good performance by Richardson. It was a bonus to have the second movie-Widow On The Hill included and to see James Brolin once again. I felt the first movie to be the best with a stronger story line and better overall acting. Good value being a two disc set.
