Classy giant rat movie
Swell little thriller, tightly wound and pared down to a point with a lot of clever touches that let you know they cared about the end product. Gotta love those flicks that confine you to a bare minimum of settings and still make it snap and the back n forth here between Peter Weller's brownstone and office job is very claustrophobic, zoomed all in on this one guy as he quickly snaps trying to run two rat races simultaneously in the go go 80s. One is all yuppy cutthroat office politics and the other is a literal giant rodent gnawing away at Weller's sexy town-home, a palpable castle you just drink in as war breaks out between man and beast. Weller loses his sh*t quite aptly but its really the solid sense of place that does it, the cat n mouse game playing out in one vivid corner of the ... A treat of a thriller
I had vaguely remembered seeing this movie when it came out years and years ago. I remembered that I enjoyed it so decided to get a copy of it thinking that it probably wouldn't live up to the my expectations. Boy was I wrong..... This movie holds up today as well, if not better, than it did all those years ago. I don't want to get into the story too much other than to say that it's MAN VS. BEAST. And boy what a battle it is. As I was watching the movie I realized that I hadn't remembered much of the movie since it had been so long since I had seen it. This made it even better because I had no idea what was to come next. If you're a fan of horror and I mean good horror that doesn't have alot of gore yet delivers with suspense. Then this is for you. Believe me you won't be ... I have been looking for this movie for some time now on dvd ... and thanks to ebay, I finally got my wish.I have always liked the movie since the first time I saw it on vhs about 20 years ago. Terrifying
A thriller for those that enjoy rodent movies. We bought as a joke for someone that had a mouse in their house and found ourselves glued to the TV watching it. The person we bought it for was too afraid to finish watching it. We liked it and will watch it again. It is a little dated, but it still keeps you on the edge of your chair from start to finish. Keep the popcorn coming.
