At Last an affordable Audiophile experience!

At last I found an affordable Audiophile experience! Just what I was looking for. I had some DT880 Chrome by Beyerdynamic, but honestly I didn't find the sound signature for my taste. I am the kind of guy who does my research before buying. I've owned Soundmagic HP100 and Beyer. I sold my first pair looking for high fidelity sounding headphones, clear highs, rich mids and a faithful bass, the HD58X are the whole deal. PROS - No amp needed, Versatile/ low impedance - Sturdy in a good manner, good looking - Sound signature dark, some compare them to the HD600 series - Great value for money CONS - Hard clamping, guess they loosen up - Open headphones leak I use portable Amplifiers, a dedicated Amp/dac and an audio receiver. My DT880 were 250Ohms so they needed to be powered. Let's put it ...

  • Outstanding Cans!

These have the same drivers as the $500 660S. If you pop the foam out (super easy) you can’t hear the difference! Well with the $150-$160. Also great for gaming because of the hyper accurate imaging. They are not super wide (sound stage) but provide lots of fun in positional games.

  • Classic must buy

Brand name, reliable, investment in many years of smooth balanced audiophile sound. Stop buying earbuds that don’t last, sound worse, stop cheating yourself.

  • Very Good Headphones!

I read reviews about these phones which said that they were uncomfortable but had very good sound. I find them to be quite comfortable for extended listening periods. I did purchase a headphone amplifier (JDS Labs Objective2) since my music is stored on a digital music player and with just a little bit of gain the combination proves to be just awesome! With these phones I hear things that I have missed before. I am not an audiophile. For me, what is supremely important is great sound reproduction and comfort and the Sennheiser HD58x Jubilee headphones deliver!
