Product Information

Created especially for PlayStation Portable, Ace Combat: Joint Assault is built around the same accessible, modern flight-combat action as earlier Ace Combat games, but it is set in a different time and place -- our own. Instead of battling in alternate-reality skies above Osea or Verusea, virtual fighter pilots engage in supersonic dogfights above real-world locations including Tokyo, San Francisco, London, and Egypt. Satellite map data was used in creating the games' settings, such that players may recognize landmarks as they fly above them. The game also features over 40 licensed aircraft, designed to look and fly like their real-world counterparts. Set in a time of international turmoil, the story pits players as newly recruited pilots against a fraud-funded terrorist group that is unleashing air attacks on strategic locations around the world. In addition to the full campaign, the game features several multiplayer modes for up to eight players, with both co-op and team competition, through Ad hoc and Internet connections.

    Fantastic game to play for those who love to fly. Very reasonable price.

    Pretty cool game for those who enjoy being a fighter pilot. Not difficult to play as you gain experience taking down the world. If you're the kind of person that loves fighter jets, this is a game for you. Shooting down combat planes gives you high adrenaline rush as you fly in the sky. I have Ace Combat 5 on PS2, playing this game on PSP is very similar. Fighting over actual cities though, gives you the feel of reality that I was looking for. I would have giving this game 5 stars, but the inability of extreme movements with your jets isn't at top notch. Doesn't take away from the action because you get lost in trying to take down the enemy in any way possible. Great for beginners to the ACE COMBAT series. Highly recommended.

    Fun and addicting

    Addictiing, gets a little repetitive but it is an airplane game after all. Keeps things interesting. Ability to upgrade and buy different planes and equipment keeps the game fresh. Absolutely worthwhile
