    Does exactly as promised, multi functional, good value and quality product.

    Ideal as allows me to play my video tapes,dvds and acts as freeview allowing me to keep my tv too. Easy set up and connection. It is quite big but fits on the small tv stand and means only one piece of equipment needed. It also lets me know when new channels available. Am using in bedroom thus I do not need pay rental on second cable box. Has recording options and to be honest have not used all its facilities yet so yes well worth the money especially at the price I paid. Ones owned earlier did not have same spec so cannot compare but certainly have no complaints.

    Good features shame about the speed.

    I was looking for a DVD recorder VHS combi to replace a 5 year old one that was just starting to have problems. The spec has the features I wanted, including Multi region, a Freeview tuner and standard scart connectivity. The performance to date has been fine. Good picture, easy to use menus and electronic guide. However the tray takes an age to open after switching on. Also the record function takes a few seconds after pressing record before it engages. This can be very irritating. The machine I bought was reconditioned so was quite reasonably priced. There may be better machines on the market, but this one is overall good value. However because of it's slowness I can only give it an average rating.

    Very good clever piece of kit.

    A very clever piece of equipment,I found it quite complicated to understand & work for what I wanted it to do, but I am quite sure that younger people than me would find it easy. The instuction book is 95 pages long all in good english, In all I think that the problem lies more with me than the machine. A very clever, good, tool.

    Excellent performance with uncomplicated operation.

    Purchased this unit as an upgrade from video player with Digi box. Very pleased with performance and it is very easy to use. I have nothing negative to report about this unit so far.

    A very good and useful item to have at home

    The panasonic DMR-EZ49V Recorder is very good and does what I want it to do. As mentioned the item is in excellent working order it transfers Hi8 tapes from video camara to tv to dvd recorder perfectly same goes for VHS to tv to DVD. Now I have all my childrens videos all on DVD which will last forever.
