    Great spaceship shooter from Treasure.

Treasure makes awesome games. Gradius V starts out hard, but the longer you play, the more credits you get, and eventually they are unlimited.

  • best gradius ever

What I like about this game is that its a shooter. I love these types of games no matter how difficult or frustrating they may be. But if you dont like shooters this isnt for you. I love the graphics in this game. It reminds of a similar title I have for gamecube entitled "Ikaruga". If you loved that game, youll feel the same about this one. What I dont like about this game is that its really difficult. I also dont like how you can power up your weapons array buy obtaining power ups through out each stage. Once you get hit and die, you lose all your power ups. Thats probably the most frustrating part of all. It just adds a little more work that distracts from the gameplay. There is a code for this game though for "instant" power ups I guess you could say. Check out some of the ...

  • Gradius V

I have always been looking for this game to buy but because i live in wyoming its hard to get ahold of rare games so i usually turn to ebay, i bought this game about 2 weeks ago and this game is amazing the graphics are smooth and flowing not choppy at all. The Story line is very good and it sucks you in immediatly and the controls are very easy to use and set up very nicely. all in all a very good buy if you can afford it.

  • I'm not a Playa, I Just Fly with a Limp

Here's the low-down. That biological menace that assailed your people once upon a moon (in previous Gradius entries) is back again. It apparently respawned in space, grew itself an appendage army, and is coming to blow your planet a goodnight kiss. Armed with your Vic Viper, you aren't going to take it lying down. Nope, its war, baby, and you're packing heat. If you're tuning in for a fifth installation to the series, you have probably gotten the gist of the game by now and have the combat controls down. If you haven't, the concept is really simple. (1) You side-scroll (although it's a shame to call such tasty graphics side-scrolling) and attack enemies, to the point where the sky seems to sometimes erupt into bullets. So, you have to perfect your flying ...

  • One of the best 2D shooters I've ever played.

I grew up with games like Gradius. I had Lifeforce for the NES. UN Squadron, Gradius 3, Raiden, Darius Twin, Super R-Type, among others on the SNES. These were always a blast to play even though they are quite difficult. I heard quite a bit about Gradius 5. People said it was the best in the series. So I had to give it a try. I loved it instantly. I felt like Gradius from my childhood but it was new at the same. I enjoyed so much I am convinced that Konami needs to make a Gradius 6. Just as long as it's not a full priced game but a downloadable game off of PSN or Xbox Live, add some online co-op and you got a winner. Gradius 5 itself is a great game that makes some new strides in the series that make it new and familiar at the same time. If you love 2D shooters, I would say, "You need to ...
