Still my Favorite Book to Date
My father gave me this book when I was younger thinking I'd be interested. I've always been into pirates and the high seas. He had read it and thought it was a fantastic story. Being that he liked it...I was certain I would not. My father is much older than I. He couldn't possibly be interested in any good pirate stories. So, I picked it up and started reading. Finished the book in a couple days=mind blown. Since then I've been a Wilber Smith fan. He knows how to tell a story as if you're there. This novel...my favorite. I've even read the sequels.
