About this product

Product Information

Players help three resourceful orphans work together to protect themselves and their family fortune from their greedy uncle, in this action-adventure game based on the 2004 film starring Jim Carrey. As in the movie, as well as the amusingly gloomy children's novels that inspired it, this Lemony Snicket game follows the notably unfortunate exploits of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. Players will need to make use of each character's particular skills as they make their way through the game's missions. In addition, they'll need to invent new tools to help them through certain situations, such as the bad-guy clearing Bopper, the sludge-traversing Stilts, and the rocket-pack Booster. Mission locations include, Count Olaf's Mansion, Uncle Monty's hedge maze, and Aunt Josephine's lakeside shack.

    Lemony Snicket review

    This game is VERY challenging....at least it is for me....and I'm 34! I bought this game without the instructions (maybe that was the mistake) and for a while, I was completely stuck. Then I found a complete game walk-thru on-line and I was able to figure out the parts that kept me from moving forward in the game. (For example...was there any clue that Klaus could suck up flies in his water gun and shoot them at the large snake to get past it?? I never would have known that if I hadn't read the on-line directions). I think a younger gamer would be completely frustrated with this game. For someone a little older and who liked the movie....this is actually a fun little game. And if you're like me....and only play it a few hours a day....it really takes a while to play. ...

    Good combo of games

    This is a fun game. It seems to be a cross of a platformer and a point n click puzzle silver. It's fun, the graphics are dark and stylish, and it's a good game and value.

    Fun game for fan of the movie

    I bought this game for my daughter to play on her Nintendo DS as a Christmas present and did a 'test drive' myself. It is very true to the movie and offers a good variety of actions and characters (you can switch between the 3 siblings). As with other GBA games, the graphics aren't as good as DS games, but still fun to play. She's a big fan of the movie and the books, so I know she'll love it!
