    Sweet lens.

This is a sweet lens! It is very sharp and has excellent contrast. The 8 to 9 cm focal length lenses are my favorites in that it tends to get me closer to the subject without compressing too much.

  • Best Leica M 90mm Lens Ever! This Lens Will Not Disappoint You

This Leica M 90mm f/2.8 Elmarit MF lens is super sharp, excellent with contrast and color, light weight, uses 46mm filters and easy to focus even with the small build in lens hood. Although no longer made by Leica, this lens will exceed your expectations for landscape, travel, portraits, photojournalism and street photography. This lens is razor sharp from f/2.8 and gets even better down to f/8. Even at f/11 to f/16 this lens does excellent. I have found there is no issue with flare, coma, no visible distortion and very minimal vignetting. In my opinion, this lens is as good as the current 90mm f/2.0 M APO Summicron but at half the price, size and weight. If you find yourself needing a moderate telephoto for the aforementioned types of photography, this lens will not disappoint you in the ...

  • what else can you say?

When you use the best, you know it. Better than Nikon, better than Canon, better than any of the third rate brands like Konica, Olympus, Pentax. The best 90mm, all things considered, that Leica has ever made. First, it is better than the f/2.5 because the optical formula is sharper, esp at the edges. It is better than the Summicron, unless you figure that one f-stop is worth double the weight and inferior edge performance. It has the built-in hood. It is light, and sharp. Dunno what else you are looking for. If you just are looking for a 90mm and don't really care about top-notch quality, then buy an off-brand, pop a beer, go watch Monday night football, and pat yourself on the back. If you are not satisfied with less than the best, then you found your ...

  • Don’t think, just buy.

Just a beautiful lens. For a lens built in the 70s/80s I’m amazed because it is just as sharp as my Fujinon lenses made in 2014. But this is Leica, so that should be no surprise. This is one of the best value Leica lenses you can buy right now, and you should absolutely cop to see what the hype is about. People seem to be enthused on wide angle lenses but I have a feeling we’ll swing back to an appreciation for telephoto pretty soon. Cop before prices raise that’s all I’m saying. And enjoy your time with this beautiful lens, so much that you won’t wanna sell when prices raise anyways. That’s the goal after all. I used this for a wedding and it performed right up to par with my autofocus Fujinon lenses. No way the client would be able to tell this is a ‘vintage’ lens because it’s just as ...

  • One of my favorite lenses to have with me at all times

Light weight and portable. It's marked in meters and feet for easy distance evaluation. It also has click stops for the F stops which is a another plus for ease of use. Has the common 39 mm filter size that is compatible with other leica lenses. It's one of my favorite lenses for every day use.
