About this product

Product Information

The 1960s television series is updated for the 1990s in this computer-effects heavy family effort. Television reporter Tim O' Hara (Daniels) thinks he has the story of the century when he stumbles across a real-life Martian (Lloyd). While trying to gain evidence of the landing, however, the alien moves into to Tim's house, posing as his "Uncle Martin." Tim, Martin, and Martin's talking space suit "Zoot" then find themselves trying to avoid the discovery of their secret by an evil scientist. Look for original TV martian Ray Walston in a small role!

My Favorite Martian is the best title, has so much humor to enjoy.

All actors are entertaining and also interact with each other. This movie so much fun to watch, worth watching again.

  • Top critical review

    My Favorite Martian Crashed Alright

I can’t add much to the reviews already posted of this disappointing film. I love the actors in it and even the late Ray Walston (the 60s Martian) did a cameo. But the script they were given was vapid, unfunny, and frenetic. A talking suit? Looks like someone just had to play with new CGI animation while stoned. The energy’s all wrong. Kind of a bad note for Disney to end a millennium on. What a shame.

  • I give My Favorite Martian...One broken antenna!

Watched this show in the 50'-60's and loved it! Thought I would check this out? Loved Christopher Lloyd in this but Jeff Daniels was to much of a dufuss type character. One of the things that made the TV show work was Bill Bixby's style of comedy and they missed it with Daniels. The story is just okay, to much about the "Suit" ??? and not enough on the main characters. The Good was Christopher Lloyd as Martin and the effects where done well. It's entertaining and a clean family movie, not to mention they bring Ray Walston (the original Uncle Martin) as a special government agent into the movie, who is investigating the strange happenings.

  • Another Universe of Fun

This is a very entertaining light heated movie. It was perfect to enjoy with my five year old.
