    A joystick for a lefty or righty that's simple enough for a few flight games.

    I like this joystick because it's universal. Too many joysticks are made for right-handed individuals and the leftys are, well, left out in the cold. This stick was easy to make usable for a lefty. The only down-side is that rear thruster, nobody wants to take hands off another controller to do that.

    Hotas on a budget

    if your a flight sim enthusiast just starting out and cant afford the more expensive separate throttle and stick combos out there on the market, the Saitek ST290 or ST290pro are great sticks to get you up and flying far more accurately then the simple joystick and using keyboard commands. I would recommend this stick to anyone wanting to get into the hobby of flight sims.

    Good. Lots of buttons on the stick

    Lots of buttons on the stick and feels good. I bought it specifically to use left handed since there aren't many lower priced options and I it is built better than I thought it would be.

    Saitek 290 used is fair in value at best

    The number '6' six button is missing and the number (1) one button sticks from time to time. Not bad, does have download issues though.

    Since I'am novice...

    I don't know of any other flight sticks, but the St290 is very slow in reaction, I don't have anything else, to say, but if I'd have known how difficult this controller is never would I have purchased it
