    Capcom's Street Fighter Alpha 3 marks a return of the legendary 2D fighting series complete with the characters of yore combined with new fighters and a plethora of gameplay options, modes, and hidden goodies. E. Honda, Blanka, and Fei Long are among the fighters making a grand return to action with newer characters Cody (from Final Fight lore) and Juni; there is a total of 31 initially playable characters and many more waiting to be found.<br><br>There are a few gameplay options to choose from including Arcade, Versus, and the new console exclusive World Tour, Entry, and Training modes. The Arcade mode is exactly what the name implies -- a conversion of Street Fighter Alpha 3 from the Arcades with new and improved lighting effects. Training is there for new players to learn various combinations and moves. Once you learn those moves, try challenging a friend in the Versus mode to show off some newfound skills!<br><br>The real meat and potatoes of Street Fighter Alpha 3 comes in the form of a World Tour Mode where secret characters are unlocked and each fighter raises his or her fighting abilities. Each character has three distinctive fighting styles, or "isms," to choose from; the "X-ism," "A-ism," and "V-ism" all work differently and will significantly alter the way your character fights. Depending on which "ism" is chosen, the characters will be awarded different skills such as the ability to pull of certain combos, inflict dizziness, strength increases, etc.<br><br>Like Soul Blade's various story missions, the World Tour Mode will place characters in unique situations that thoroughly test a player's skills. At times, you'll have to fight a multitude of characters at one time (sort of like an endurance mode), beat characters using only super combos, regular combos, and throws. As incentive to play the World Tour Mode, players can save their strengthened up characters in the Entry mode. By saving your characters in the Entry mode, new characters, skills and gameplay options will be unlocked.

      Street Fighter Alpha 3 on PlayStation needs to be played by everyone.

      With the possible exception of SF3 Third Strike, SFA3 is the best Capcom 2d fighter, and the PSX version is the best one out there. Unlockables, level up your fighter, personalize him or her to your specific style (lvl. 32 Shin Akuma with full offense is definitely worth the effort!) and some of the best sprites of the era. Mix in some great music and tight, responsive controls and you have a legitimate classic. If you find this at a good price, nab it! Fighting game fans owe it to themselves. It even features Zangief as the focus of the cover. That's confidence, and it's well deserved.

      A blast from the past in a world that has gone total Hdmi

      Anybody who has any true appreciation of videogames can tell you of the emense impact of Capcoms foot print both the arcade and gouse-hold gaming. Street Fighter being one of those classic gems only now that 16 bit was making way for the the 3d polygon takeover, but Capcom stayed true to its 2d roots but with more storage on a disc compared to cartridges of past more fighters more add-ons, like leveling up charcters stats more arcade battle styles a true blast from the past. The game was a well worth purchase still holds strong even when compared to the modern and more refined three dimensional fighters froms PlayStation's upgraded versions PlayStation 2-3 and 4 to its competitors Xbox series or the New age Nintendo.

      Best Street Fighter game of all time!!

      I love the game! It came in pretty good shape. The disc had a few scratches, but I took it to my local gaming store and had them resurface it for me, and now it looks and plays great!!

      Amazing Quality on the original Playstation.

      The game is amazing! It plays so fluid. This is game that worked amazingly on both the Sega Saturn and the Playstation 1. The load times are quick, the graphics are smooth, and gameplay is just right. I can play it on my original Playstation or my Playstation 3 with no issues!

      Awesome but...

      Game is awesome, feels good to play this game again. I wish it came in the original case but the one it came in was fine. The case was broken on the top right corner so I can’t close it but I’m not complaining. As long as the disc works I could care less
