The tool is much smaller than I expected. I knew it would be small when I received the box. It came with great packaging. It has plastic handles. It is a Novelty tool, and would Not work on Any size Push Lock style fittings. The max size fitting would be 3/8" and those 6ou can push in by hand. I am not sending it back, I will re-engineer it and use thicker aluminum handles and make it where you push your hands together to operate it.

Sorry your not happy with the tool. it was designed for 1/4" & 3/8" barb fittings. we have been making and selling them since the early 60s. the original tool did have steel handles but it was more cost effective to go with plastic. if your using them the right way they work good. it has an adjustment knob and the problem some people have is clamping on the fitting while it is in the hose. fitting won't go in if your clamping on both plyers are just for holding the hose.
