I installed the 45 degree elbow on my compressor to enhance the access to the female quick connect. Before this elbow was installed, it was hard to get my hand around the female quick connect because it was so close to the compressor housing. Now that the quick connect sits out at 45 degrees away from the housing, I can easily release female coupler.
