    Young Bob Hope At His Wise Cracking Best

    Funnyman Bob Hope is at his wise cracking best in these early movies of his. I always liked the young Bob Hope the best. Besides Bob, Paulette Goddard is a real babe and she has the biggest smile in Hollywood. This film, "The Cat and the Canary" is old school Hollywood at its best. It's got a haunted mansion theme and the spooks are popping up everywhere. Good, clean fun for everyone and that's the way it ought to be.

    It's Bob Hope, for cryin' out loud!

    Not quite Ghost Breaks with Bob Hope & Paulette Goddard, but pretty close. Very fun, oldie &, of course, a goodie. Bob Hope, one of the last Great Americans, just wonderful to watch, no matter what.

    Great Oldie!

    This is a remake of the silent film version. It has a bit more comedy due to Bob Hope being the male lead character. Full of suspense and surprises it is an entertaining film for thse who are fans of "Old Dark House" type of movies that were popular in the 30s, 40s, and 50s. If you like this one, check out Bob Hope in "The Ghost Breakers". It too stars Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard.
