It does not work as well with the a6500 as it does with my FX30 and NEX-5T. The adapter makes contact with the inside of the a6500 housing, but still worked. The images are good. I'm using this with a Cannon 1.4/50mm SSC and I'm very happy with it. Makes shooting video in low light much better, as I can use a lower ISO setting resulting in less noisy images.
