The Kefir grains arrived earlier than expected, I kept them in the fridge for a few days until it was convenient for me to start them. They come with well explained instructions. I used whole goats milk, kept them in a warm place, two and a half days later good kefir plus the grains have multiplied to four times the original amount. I would suggest that they come with a piece of muslin as that is what the instructions require. I looked online and others use kitchen towel which worked fine.

    A good diverse grain

    I gave it 5 stars for 2 reasons 1. When it arrived in a jiffy bag which had been squashed to the thickness of a paper towel, there were a few grains of Kefir and the liquid had long gone. I scraped up a few grains and put them into a glass jar with fresh coconut milk and a little dairy cream, in a few days it separated and now continues grow each time. Very strong grains, well done. 2. I've now separated the grains into 3 x 200 ml glass jars and use the grains with dairy milk, coconut milk & goats milk all work great a very diverse grain.

    Good quality grains

    I received two weeks ago and within few days the grains started to culture the milk. The first week it took more than 24 hours for the milk to thicken. By the 2nd week the grains started to grow and produce thick and tasty milk kefir.
