Keep shopping. Not genuine OEM, no good for LG Refrigerator.
This generic part (shipped bare in a padded envelope, not factory packaging as indicated) is barely functional. It's close to the right shape and size for the LG french door fridge I bought it for (also listed on the product page), but not quite right. For one the gauge of the steel is thicker than the original. It fits into the holder on the door OK, but it's almost impossible to fit into the mullion. If you have the same problem, use some needle nose pliers and while twisting it and applying pressure you will hopefully get it to fit without breaking anything. The other problem is that once installed, the main body of the spring does not fit cleanly into the recessed area on the mullion when the mullion closes up against the door. Not An Equivalent Fit
Same loop count and shape as OEM, but made of thicker gauge wire. In order for it to fit in the nylon inserts, I had to remove the mullion (door flipper) and drill out material for it to fit and that resulted in some unrelated damage to the mullion. The electrical wires connecting the mullion to the refrigerator become brittle with age and so mine broke off easy. I then had to disassemble mullion and resolder wires.
