    scissors obelisk is whimsical reference to the Washington Monument

    Created for opening of the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of American Art, 1968 this iconic work was reproduced as poster but Limited Edition of 144 signed by Oldenburg.on Mourilot paper is first version, without museum text. Mine is number 38, displayed in custom-made Plexiglas box preserving original condition. Great for collectors of Washingtonia.
