  • Helpfully detailed

I would recommend this book to people newly interested in Dresden style porcelain. It provides interesting history and facts, backed up by good photographs. The size is perfect and not too bulky. The authors have made an effort to touch on the many different styles that were produced by many different studios, and it gives a helpful overview as well as enough detail to compare and decide on which porcelain one likes best. The section on the marks of Dresden was especially helpful, since that helps in dating a piece, and put a name to the studio that created it. I would have liked more detail on the different artists, but for a comprehensive overview, this book is very good.
