Almost identical replacements
I bought these to replace a pair of paring knifes from a set of 'Showtime' six-star cutlery. The handles from my old Showtime set were breaking apart, the rivet caps popped off and exposed a rusty interior. Since 'Showtime knives' is now out of business, and finding the paring knife (#15) is nearly impossible, these new Sunbeam 3-inch paring knives look almost identical to the 'Showtime' set at a reasonable price. They come factory sharp, but I put a finished edge on them and they are now razor-sharp. The handles should have been made more sturdier.
I guess for the money you can't expect much. The main thing I don't like about this knife is the materials the handles are made from. I believe the handles is what will fail first making the knife useless.
