Hot! Hot! Hot! First Book Is Important .

I have owned this entire Trilogy 3 times. No longer loaning my books. I never get them back😢. First book is an absolute page turner. Interesting story line . Not for children. Excellent Adult Read & All 3 Must be Read to understand why book one happened. Book one can be a stand alone book, but read entire story🥰of twists and turns. Excitement and lust denial and obsession.

  • Don't waste your money! One book condensed from 3 would have been better.

I labored through the first book Fifty Shades of Grey. It got very old with Ana saying she can't believe she's with or doing something with or to Christian Grey on nearly every page for the first half of the book. The story started out interesting, but soon got very repetitive. I am halfway through Fifty Shade Darker, the second book, and it is even worse. Talk about angst. Ana is going over everything several times trying to figure Christian out. The sex scenes are way too many and not very exciting. I am detemined to finish the series, but have no desire to continue since it is just the same old and not very good writing at all. I will pick it up and read a bit and put it down saying to myself, get on with it! Instead of 3 books at about 530 pages each she could have condensed all into ...

  • Fifty shades of garbage: A guide of misogyny

This book was given to me as a gag (no pun intended) birthday gift. To begin with, the writing is bad beyond words and the nineteenth century dialogue of these two present-day, American, main characters is odd and almost laughable. The story is slow moving and has virtually no plot or character development. Worst of all, the sexual relationship between the two characters is grotesquely debasing and misogynistic. The story reads like a ripped off version of Dracula set in modern times. Like the book Dracula, Fifty Shades of Grey is retold in first person by the main character. The main character, Anastasia, a young, naive college student, is sent by her roommate to interview this highly successful and powerful businessman, Mr Grey, whose enormous, glass windowed, office building is somewhat ...

  • Much more than meets the Eye

This book was phenomenal. I see a lot of bad reviews for the book because the sex scene and the overuse of some words, but the book is much deeper than that. Yes, there are sex scenes at every chapter (x3) however, when you get down to it, you can feel the attraction that Christian and Ana have for one another, an attraction that seems like could never work. This book is a story of a man and a women who are clearly two very different people who want it so bad to work between them. Christian can help Ana in many ways she never imagined, and Ana can help Christian get over or move forward from the dark place in which he lies. The ending will MAKE you want to get the other books... Therefore, think beyond the sexual scenes and the overuse of "inner goddess". There is much more to this book ...

  • Excellent Well Written Novel

I bought this book because it is a trilogy and I had books 2 & 3, but needed the 1st book! Fifty Shades of Grey is an excellent, well written book. The book is very easy to read and definitely keeps your interest. Once I had finished the 1st book I couldn't wait to begin on the 2nd. I must caution you though that this book is XXX rated and uses very explicit language, so if that bothers you this might not be the book for you. The 2nd book picks up well where the 1st book leaves off, so I would urge you to buy all 3 if possible.
