About this product

Product Information

Parker Brothers' famous board game of wheeling and dealing can be enjoyed on the road in this colorful adaptation for Game Boy Advance. While players still purchase real estate properties or pay rent as they move their tokens across the board, the handheld version adds embellishments like animated pieces and helpful hints from the affluent Mr. Monopoly. Up to four players are supported for competitive matches, and solo owners can choose from a variety of computer-controlled opponents, each with distinct personalities and playing tendencies. The game also supports trade offers, property auctions, and rule customization options such as time limits and free parking money.

  • Monopoly for Game Boy Advance

I got it for myself because quite often I have to kill some time travelling by train/airplane for work and I love the game. The graphic is very good and it is quite "user friendly". I don't like the auction mechanism, because, as somebody has already said in other reviews, the computer cheats (if you join you will end up paying a little bit over the contract amount, if you don't join the computer players will get it for no more than half price). The BIG problem of this Monopoly (and I don't think it's because I am not able to...) is that you can't save the games: it is not always easy to have enough time to play the whole game and it is very disappointing to shut down and not save it after you have played for a while...

  • This version of monoply....

I love monopoly but some things I dislike about monopoly for gameboy advance is some the features on the game. One feature I disliked is that it is not a true mutiplayer game, you can't link gameboys together-instead you have to pass the gameboy around. Another feature I dislike is when you are playing the computer and you only have say 100 dollars and the property the computer lands on is 120, the computer will send it to auction to get it cheaper- the game will not let you raise funds so whoever gets the property cheap. The last thing I disliked is when I landed on a property and rent was due and I didn't have the funds and had to raise money, you have to guess on how much to raise because the game doesn't tell you- Since I have played before I had a general idea but my friend had ...

  • Great game for a great value!

Great game and very easy to use. My 6 year old daughter had no problem understanding how to use it. I also played the game and it was a lot of fun. I think the game is appropriate for ages 6 and up however some younger kids may be able to understand the directions.

  • monopoly

This is a very good copy of the original game and is great for travel or other times when you don't have room for a game board. You can also play against the computer if no one wants to play with you. The big drawback is that there is no save option, so you either have to play a whole game right then or just quit in the middle and start over later.

  • monopoly

this is a great adaptation of a classic game. fun and easy to understand. If anyone enjoyed this game as a kid or still do this is a fun and inexpensive way to do so. It is also great because you can play by yourself against the computer. You dont have to have a bunch of people over to get enjoyment out of it.
