Excellent writing, directing, and acting in this historical, fact-based movie about the events surrounding the Watergate investigation of the 1970s. Redford and Hoffman both turn in superlative performances as Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of the Washington Post, the newspaper that broke the Watergate story that led to the resignation of then president Richard M. Nixon. In addition to those performances Jason Robards puts in an Oscar-winning performance as Ben Bradley, the editor of the WAPO.
