I have changed out the gas struts thinking that was the problem, but it wasn't. I have taken the glass off and adjusted the hinges to no avail. Finally I had had enough and purchased some hinges off ebay and Deadjeepparts. When I received them I noticed, hmm these don't quite look the same. So, I removed the ones on the Jeep and installed the replacements. Wow, now the glass hatch closes correctly
