      sound great and are very confertable with some simple mods

      these headphones sound great and a r fairly comfortable but have flaws that make me wander what the designers thinking #1 the notorious ribs on the headband, these are as uncomfortable as they look and as everyone says, but just by cutting the middle rib off I ended up making these headphones about as comfortable on top of the head as any other pair of headphones I own #2 the wacky hight adjustment system that doesn’t really work. I don’t understand why akg went tension based, it looks fancier and harder to construct than a notch or friction based set of adjustments, and maybe when these headphones are brand new the tension based system works fine, but these headphones use elastic and as many people know elastic wears out easily and when I got them I wasn't able to fit the headphones to my ...

      Uncomparable Sound

      I don't have a pair of headphones which have a good little speaker left and right side... I HAVE A PAIR OF HEADPHONES WHICH HAVE TRUE EXPANDED FREQUENCY RESPONSE DRIVERS LEFT AND RIGHT EAR. Yeah, with its envolving sound and its 10 Hz to 39 kHz freq. response and its powerful but sweet bass and ultra nitide treble, in addition of clear and perfect mid-ranges for vocals, all of this masterpiece become it into GREATEST AMONG GREATESTS. Truly, a SUPERIOR LEVEL PROFESSIONAL HEADPHONE.

      Exactly what I was waiting for

      This is a clean early original AKG 701, Made In Austria, in white. Exactly what I was waiting for. Unless you're prepared to spend $1500+ for endgame cans, these are the best headphones I've ever heard under $300 (but you will need an amp). I paid less than half that for these. If you go for the later Q701, basically the same, hold out for an Austria pair.
