Prior to making purchase online, I'm an avid review reader because I want to make the best decision from a reliable resource. It was so easy to make perfectly square, tight corners on all my cabinets including a 96" cabinet. 2. Will I be able to use this clamp on multiple projects? I usually make dovetailed drawers when I build tables and cabinets. This is such an awesome alternative with minimal effort and ... Old school tool is best. New tool is too light duty.
It's a neat tool and a neat design to grip into the pocket hole that you drill for the screw BUT, the "Auto" adjusting system is a bit of a pain to adjust. The old school vise grip adjustment is easier to set where you want it. Also, when setting the clamp to grip really tight, the tool is not ridged enough to keep from twisting and flexing. My brother has an older vise grip tool similar to the newer tool BUT, it's much more ridged and has an "old school" type of adjustment. His clamping tool doesn't look as neat but, works better than this newer style automatic setting clamping system and doesn't twist or flex when clamping super tight. On the edge
I'm in the process of building an HO Model Train layout which has six 8'X10' tables and two other odd shaped tables also 8' long with curved outside shapes. When working close to the edge these prove to be the best clamps for holding the board regardless of height or width. I started with two, but purchased two more. Try them, you'll be glad you did.

These owrk OK but It wasn't broken, why did they fix it?
This clamp works OK but I also have the older version of this clamp that adjusts with a big knurled know on the end of the handle like the original vise grips. I find this smaller thumb wheel harder to use. It wasn't broken, why did they fix it?
