  • A Must! A story about surviving against all odds.

When Lizzy Allison, age 14 , and her younger brother Tim are unexpectedly stranded after tragedy strikes their father, they must use their wits and their father's tips to get through one of the worst snowstorms of the century. The author, William Judson, clearly did his research, giving accurate, clear information about catching food, staying warm , etc. The suspense is also kept at a fever pitch as Lizzy and Tim battle one obstacle after another, including an unexpected visitor. I'm not sure if this one is aimed at the "teen" market but THIS adult could NOT put it down. But don't take my word for it. It also got raves from The New York Times and Kirkus Reviews, among others.
