The older models use more Japanese caps for the power delivery and audio decoupling stages, but the Chinese caps used in the newer model actually allow more even-order harmonic distortion to come through - aka the 'tube sound'. Noise and power is identical to the older ones, though. I would still recommended these, as they fully drive the headphones via the driver tubes at the front. The back two provide the power (push-pull) to the forward two.

Yes get it if thus us your thing.

Item is well finished and I am very pleased with the performance having connected it to a Denafrips DAC with the Shanling I2S cable I also purchased. Both items seem never to be in stock at UK sellers. Less happy with the carrier: the U in UPS in my experience stands for USeless. The package was stuck in HK for over a week with no updates, but I contacted Lisa, had a very prompt response and it was on its way the next day!
