About this product

Product Information

EA Games' popular Need for Speed series races on the DS for the first time in this release. The game follows the street racing gameplay and tuner-culture presentation of its console predecessors, but makes use of the touch screen for a couple of unique features. Players can create their own vinyl designs in the touch screen, then apply them to their favorite cars for a truly custom look. When out on the streets, the touch screen holds the analog nitrous controls, allowing virtual racers to apply the right amount of boost with a swipe of the stylus. Need for Speed Underground 2 supports multiplayer racing for up to four, through the handheld's wireless connectivity.

    I love need for speed underground 2 I think more it’s better on the ds system versus the game boy advance it just looks better!!

    Great game and I love a lot it’s good I’ll never get at least get boring to me this is a game I will always like!!

    Terrible Game

    It's a DS game so the expectation on graphics isn't high but even then, they could have done better than this. There is no real story line to the game, no real line to follow and worst of all, no free roam. After the introduction, you spend the rest of your time selecting from a list of race types and completing them to earn money and upgrades. There is no evolution to the game play or anything that really holds an interest or creates a desire to continue playing past the introduction (even though I did). I wound up giving the game to my kid who played and pretty much said the same thing. Not a good investment. Spend your money elsewhere like Ridge Racer DS which is a mildly better game.

    Need for Speed Underground 2 (Nintendo DS) average game

    Need for Speed Underground 2 for Nintendo DS. This game has great graphics, great sound, so so controls, and the mini games are not so great. Some of the performance upgrades are only unlocked by winning the mini games which are not so fun. I wanted to race, not play goofy mini games. The controls in this game are not nearly as good as the next version Need for Speed Most Wanted for the Nintendo DS.

    Undergound DS can seriously hold its own.

    This game is good. Its like playing undergound on your n64 or playstation which no ones ever seen so its a little bit diff. But the controls take getting use to. Its a downgraded port the upgrades are rather simplistic but they are there and do make a diffrence. Its based on points, not money to buy parts. Lots of tracks and cars, I love this game. Shows off some nice DS graphics.
