    Beta 91

    Placement is critical. When you get that right this microphone does an amazing job. I went on the Shure website and read a little about what they recommend for placement and use. Trick is to get a little pillow for it to sit on and make sure the front head on the drum is deadened a bit. Place 6" from beater w/ roll off switch on. Very solid sound.

    Awesome!!

    I have been using an Akg D112 which I was happy with. But this mic is far better sounding. Much fatter kick drum sound with minimal eq. Very happy.

    quick and easy

    Not having a kick mic stand on stage makes a cleaner stage and less chance of it getting kicked over on the tight small stages . Don't forget to turn on phantom power

    Awesome Mic!

    Every Kick Drum needs one! I hung it in the Kick with the Kelly Shu Flatz system. The Kelly Shu Flatz trapeze also holds my blanket in place inside the drum so it doesn't move around. Very happy I purchased it! Thank You Shure & Kelly Shu Flatz.
