Redefining Southern influenced, roots-Rock with an edge for a modern audience, Black Stone Cherry have sold upwards of 110,000 copies of their 2006 self-titled debut and have shared the stage with Buckcherry, Hinder, Staind, Three Days Grace, Finger 11, Shinedown and more. With a soulful driving attack, few bands this young sound this powerful or versatile. The bands sophomore effort for Roadrunner Records, Folklore and Superstition was produced by famed Rock producer Bob Marlette (Ozzy, Shinedown) and recorded in Nashville's infamous Blackbird Studios, that has housed everyone from Kid Rock to the Raconteurs. From the eerie swagger of "Devil's Queen" to the tell tale rocker "Blind Man" to the triumphant stomp of the anthem "Soul Creek," Black Stone Cherry say the trick to Folklore and Superstition is simply brotherhood, family, friends and home no more, no less.

    Black Stone Cherry- Folklore and Superstition

    If you like the old time southern rock, and yet like bands like Stone Temple, and even Nickleback, then you'll like Black Stone Cherry. There are a few tracks that are excellent, a couple that are not so good, and the rest is just plain good music. They have a little too much melody in their music for my tastes, but the talent is evident. Its hard to find any good new music, ( if your old like me) but this band is worth the listen.

    Can't Miss!

    They got it all, obviously had a vast number of musical influences. Combines Southern Rock style, new rock (Shinedown/Three Days Grace) edge, touch of alternative, dash of reggae, and top it off with an all out arena rock (Van Halen) attack. Deep raspy lyrics, awesome raw riffs, rocking, tight, in your face drums and bass. If you love music, you can't go wrong!

    What a great CD

    By far, this has to be one of the best CD's I have purchsed in many years. Every song is well written and has superb lyrics as well as strong musicianship. BSC is a great band, use this CD as a testament to their sucess!
