This Artec Alnico 5 pickup for a neck position on a Tele is: slightly small, leaving a gap all the way around the pickup hole. The provided mounting screws are for a countersunk hole, so if your pickguard does not have countersunk holes (2) for this pup it's going to look 'wrong'. Sound: the sound is not very clear and not very distinct, sadly. Lacking mids. Meh. Seller was fine....product was IMHO, very lacking. I will discard this cheap pickup----

    Nice upgrade from originals

    I recently installed two of these in the neck and middle position of a SSS Tele partscaster, and were a big upgrade from the original ceramic pickups. Lots of power and bass in the neck while still retaining nice crisp treble response, and the bonus is the nice 'acoustic'-y sounds in the middle position. Money well spent!

    Excellent product for price a little brighter than I would have liked. The height adjusting screws that came with it were undersized and were to long but not to fear I had some that fit.

    Sounds great!

    Exactly what I was looking for. Reviews are right, it is a little smaller than a usual Tele neck pickup, it doesn’t fit snugly in the pickguard, but it is functional. Sound is very nice. Much clearer than a typical neck pickup, resembles a Strat neck pickup sound now. Which was exactly what I was looking for. I would/probably will buy again.

    No Mo Mud

    These large magnet pickups are great if you need more treble tones for a darker sounding Tele guitar. I put a cover on mine, but it still didn't lose the tone.
