Exact Replacement - But you may have to save the crimp-on ferrule from your old rope.
If your pull handle is at the top of the handle (operator's position), be sure to save the crimp-on ferrule from your old rope. Measure the distance from the pull handle on the old rope and reinstall it the same distance from the handle on the new rope. The rope in this recoil starter is the same length as that used in the original recoil starter and will work just fine regardless of whether your mower is a high pull model or a low pull model.If your pull handle is at the top of the handle (operator's position), be sure to save the crimp-on ferrule from your old rope. Don't waste time rigging something when you can buy the right part
My recoil cord broke so I spent $10.00 for a new one then broke the recoil spring trying to tighten the cord. I should have bought this to start with. Simple, easy direct bolt on pull the cord once to loosen it up and now my mower is good as new.
