Misleading but works great dry
I used these patches on some holes and tears created by weights on the pool cover which fell into the pool during high winds. Most of the patches covered dry areas since the water drained out of the pool, but one patch was placed on an area toward the bottom of the pool as it was filling. I hadn't noticed this spot until water was close to the bottom of the damaged area. The part of the patch that went on the dry portion stayed put. The part at the bottom that made contact with water was pointless. It floats around and no matter how much pressure or how much I tried to get it to adhere, it would not stick. I'm glad I was able to use these on the dry liner because where I did, the patches held tight and the pool is full of water with no leaks. Does NOT work on inflatables!
Followed the instructions exactly, not too difficult (I have used many kinds of these patches). Within 5 minutes it was bubbling and curling, So I tried redoing the patch 3 times different times, thought maybe the first was a fluke The last time letting it sit for 48 hours and still without even adding air to the pool side it was curling off.

Works great when applied to a dry area! Lower the water level until sufaces are dry.
Like one other guy said, the application of these patches works absolutely great if you can lower the water and patch th3 area while its dry. Clean the to be patched area with wax and grease remover or rubbing alcohol. Either cleaner works great. The part of the patch that i attached below the water surface level never adhered well. That little wet patch attempt is still not sticking. Can't make it stick. Any dry patch is rock solid even after you raise the water level. It just seems tou need to do a dry patch. I purchased a patch from Walmart that allowed me to do a below water line patch and that stuff worked great but I cant find the patch kits at any local Walmart this spring or summer so I ordered this. I have an 18ftx 36ft oval pool with a 3ft shallow end and an 8ft deep end. Patch is easy to use and sticks very well. Quality is excellent and appears very strong. Being clear it is almost it is not noticeable where placed on the pool liner. Will purchase again if necessary.

Easy to use
This is a great patch kit. You cut the shape of the patch you need and just peel off the back and apply. It stays put and does not peel off. I applied this patch a couple of weeks ago and no problems.
