Outstanding book!
I purchased the Metal Gear Solid novel because I've always hoped that someone would bring the Metal Gear universe into the reading world; and that's what Raymond Benson did and I thank him for that. Because I played the game, I wasn't expecting anything new and other than a few minor differences, the novel was pretty much the same as the game. This doesn't mean you won't enjoy the book. I enjoyed the book just as much as I enjoyed the game. The climax of the book sent chills down my spine, just as the game did when I first played it years ago (and still do to this day). What I especially love about the book is that it's very accurate. What I mean is that in the book, they refer to Dr. Clark as a "she" and not a "he," as they did in the game. The thing is, we found out that Dr. Clark was ... I highly recommend this book and I hope that Mr. Benson continues with novelizing the Metal Gear Solid series. 5/5.
