Synopsis
This book follows up the developments in phenomenology discussed in Phenomenology and the "Theological Turn": The French Debate, attempting to establish what potentialities in the phenomenological method exist at present., This book follows up the developments inphenomenology discussed in Phenomenology andthe Theological Turn: The French Debate, attempting toestablish what potentialities in the phenomenologicalmethod exist at present., Is phenomenology in jeopardy? Will the phenomenological movement survive intact amongst the ever-expanding adherence to some part of this doctrine? Will phenomenology cease to be a major influence in contemporary continental philosophy and beyond? Are we dealing with a purely and intrinsically French phenomenon in the vast domain of all philosophy? Can some resolution be brought about through the limitation or delimitation of our sphere of investigation? Will we ever succeed in lifting the ambivalence out of the phenomenological project? Dominique Janicaud advises us to consider a "minimalist" approach to these questions, one that would leave phenomenology open to its greatest possibilities. We must consider the scientific and metaphysical overinvestment of phenomenology. Yet we must also imagine how phenomenology might finally escape this unifying and foundational tendency, which has driven it to overburden immanence with a transcendence that is none other than of subjectivity in its various guises and at its various levels. This book aspires to bring that ongoing debate to the English-speaking world., This book follows up the developments in phenomenology discussed in Phenomenology and the "Theological Turn" The French Debate, attempting to establish what potentialities in the phenomenological method exist at present.

This is an outstanding seller to deal with. Fair prices that are more than reasonable in this economy. The product is in better condition than described, a true value for my money. Packaged and shipped well shows seller has concern for the products he sells to arrive in excellent condition. The seller is friendly and communicates timely with his customers. I highly recommend this seller and would do business again anytime. Thank you!

Great seller! Item is what I ordered; good communication; shipped promptly; good value. NOTE TO SELLER: packaging was NOT appropriate for item; it was a flimsy, plastic envelope, with no stiff material to prevent creases. The book came with two deep creases that involved the *entire* item: one is a 1" triangle lower left side (bound edge); the other is a 7" triangle on upper right side (open edge).
