Good condition...but a few screws holding the chassis in place are missing. If it had been delivered without careful packaging, it would have been damaged. But other than that, the condition was very good, the price was reasonable, and the packaging was also excellent. Above all, I was very satisfied with the unexpected additional service. I am willing to purchase again next time.

had issues with the shipment so it took longer then expected but throughout the seller was extremely prompt with replying so I didn’t need to worry too much. the horn was packaged really well, bubble wrap with cupboard on top of the case. the horn itself is in good condition, much like what was shown in the pictures. all valves, triggers and screws are working well. highly recommend if you want to get a second hand instrument in a very good condition and reasonably priced.

    Best portable practice amp ever!

    I now own 2 of these. The options are endless and on 1/2 watt power, the batteries last a long time. Jam in a park, camping, in a parked car or even at home when the power goes out. It's perfect as a small PA at parties too. Just can't say enough good things!

    Vox DA5-upgrade

    Strengths: Incredible amplifier modeling sounds and Huge Panel of great programable effects. Aux- and Mic- line in, and headphone out allow excellent quality mixed input of line, mic, and guitar with headphone monitoring. 5 Watts of power is adequate for loud volume in small room. Very small, light and battery powered. Weakness: 6.5 inch 15 watt Vox speaker is very tinny and will produce no quality low tones. Distorts rather easily and sounds poor compared to headphone outputs. Fix: Replace Vox 6.5 inch speaker with an $45 8" eminence 125W speaker. Much, much improved sound with better lows and mid-range. Overal volume a bit lower, but still quite adequate for practice. This modification requires a bit of woodwork and a metal grill replacement/modification for quality u0pdate. ...

    Battery powered amp

    I really enjoy the Vox DA5 and have been researching battery powered amps quite a while. This particular one caught my eye because of the price, which was about half the going price of simply getting it from the local Guitar Center. I am a semi-professional musician with tons of equipment already, but I needed something for busking on the streets where it is unlikely to find electricity.I play several different instruments, guitar, banjo, mandolin and uke thru this unit (one at a time, of course)along with a mic. It's quite portable and loud enough to catch the attention of passersby. Sound quality is good too. I've been doing this for thirty years and play all styles, rock, country,jazz,etc.. It has been a great purchase, I highly recommend it!

    I'm glad I bought it. It's a fun little amp that sounds great.

    This is a great little amp. I usually run it at its lowest 1.5 watt setting which is plenty for small jams. I run it on batteries quite a bit and haven't had to replace them yet. I'm hoping the 20+ hour spec is correct. It has a great sound. A very good clean settings and lots of good distortion and effects settings. The only shortcoming, is that when you program a setting, delay for instance, when you switch to another effect, and then back to the delay, it no longer has your settings. Fortunately, it's easy to adjust the settings.

    Battery powered bang for the bucks!

    OMGosh! This little amp is sooo killer! I was literally laughing out loud as I was "getting to know" it. I wish they had practice amps like this one back in the stone age when I first learned to play. Anyways, I bought mine used on e bay for less than $50. Mine runs exclusively on C size batteries since there was no power supply with it, which is fine for me because I bought it almost exclusively to take with me on a cruise. Read about the features online and watch a demo on you tube or something, then go out and buy it and be prepared to smile. Lots of pretty decent tones from this miniscule kiddy amp. Lots of fun for the bucks!
