The Vanguard MK-1 tripod is an aluminum-constructed tripod. The aluminum construction of the tripod makes it very light. The tripod can be used both with cameras and video cameras. The Vanguard pan head tripod weighs 1.6 lbs, making it easy to tote to most locations. The Vanguard floor standing tripod features a pan head mounting system. The Vanguard pan head tripod has a sliding center column. The legs on the Vanguard MK-1 tripod feature lever-locking systems, which ensure stability in positioning. The legs also feature braces to the center column and rubber feet. Each leg on the tripod features three sections for maximum versatility when shooting both film and video. The minimum height for the Vanguard floor standing tripod is 20.5 inches and the maximum height is 52 inches. The height of the tripod makes it an ideal middle range tripod. The Vanguard MK-1 tripod is going to benefit those wanting a lightweight, locking leg tripod.
