This is a great fan because the louver shutter works very well. However, there are some minor design faults. The way the cord is attached inside allows the knot to foul when you pull for operation. See photo. I put the cord in from the bottom and made a knot on top. Works perfectly. The second design fault is when you use the fan as a ceiling fan. The sharp edge where the cord runs will soon fray the cord. I used a stanley knife blade the round the edge. I had to but new cord too short supplied

I run a building maintenance company and install HVAC parts all the time. The part description said it can be fitted on windows. If you fit the fan on a window it can't be made water tight. The seller offered a grill as an extra but that doesn't work as you need a bespoke grill that has to fit the other side of the fan. The seller has a misleading advert and didn't offer a return or refund. I have bought 2000 items on ebay and I rarely give bad feedback. I now need to buy another fan.
