After a few snags trying to get it set up, I managed to learn within a couple hours how to use the Chocolate pedal in Ableton Live as a way to map midi messages (like record and stop) to the foot pedal buttons, making it a hands-free controller for looping, triggering effects, or any function I can map to the buttons on the pedal. I can see this being useful in just about anything used to trigger midi command. Its useful, hopefully holds up well, but pretty cheap any way so I am quite satisfied.
