BACK OF BOOK SAYS: AFTER SPENDING3 london seasons searching for a husband, daisy bowman's father has told her in no uncertain terms that she must find a husband. now and if daisy cant'snare an appropriate suitor she will marry the man he choses the ruthless and aloof matthew swift. issues: no contact until page 140 they don't like each other in the beginning based on the fact that her father wants to arrainge their marriage. the two games take up way too much of the book. uses another man to make the first one jealous the other man falls in love with her and then falls off the face of the book... then the hero is unable to marry because of a secret past...... but then she convinces him other wise..... then we stall for a couple of chapters with other stuff going on with other characters ...

  • Pretty Good Book

Out of the wallflower series this has got to be my least favorite. it is still a good book but its just not great. Daisy still hasnt found a husband and her dad is getting fed up. so he says, find a man or your marrying the one i pick for you. Matthew swift is the man who her dad has choosen and she remembers him as a high handed know it all boy back in america. She knows she has to find someone else. But when the boy come to england and he is a very attractive man with a different personality, how could she not fall for him? But their is one thing in the way. He wont marry her!!! A deap dark secrete is keeping him from marrying the girl of his dreams. will they end up together? read and find out.

  • Daisy and Matthew.

I really enjoyed the characters and the plot of the story. Daisy is a woman of strong character and determination. Her love is fierce and strong. It was impressive the way she stood by Matthew. Most women would like to have a man love her the way Matthew loves Daisy.

  • Great finish for a fantastic historical romance series

Scandal in Spring was a fast and fun read from start to finish. This is the 4th and final volume in the Wallflowers series by Lisa Kleypas. The previous installments (in order of publication) were: Secrets of a Summer Night, It Happened One Autumn, and Devil in Winter. What I like best about this series, and this book in particular, is that Kleypas has toned down the sexuality a bit, added a nice humorous tone, and created really great (and believable) characters. This is a great book for those who like American/English historicals. It is set in the late 19th century.
