    King at his "Misery" best! Highly recommend.

    King does an outstanding job of building and developing his characters throughout the Hodges trilogy. These works were created similarly to "Misery" where he uses minimal supernatural content, particularly in the first two ("Mr. Mercedes" and "Finders Keepers," although he does revert back to weird stuff in the third ("End of Watch"). Readers should read the three in the proper sequence for greatest enjoyment. I've read a lot of King over the years and this trilogy is right up there with the best. Highly recommend.

    Bill Hodges series

    Individually, they are all competent stories. I purchased them with the thought they were individual stories, shortly after each was published,I didn't realize they were related until I began the second book and began to see the connections to the first book, Sometimes it seems a bit contrived, but each story maintains the same flow and drive, Overall, Mr. King did a good job!

    Great Ending

    This the last book of a trilogy, and really a great ending to the series. I will miss Bill Hodges and his strange, but endearing sidekicks. I loved how they took out the bad guy in the end...very dramatic.

    Sorcery Lives!

    First, what I like about END OF WATCH: it's dark, scary, and the characters of Bill Hodges and Holly Gibney are well-defined and interesting. I had to put the book down several times because the creepiness became overwhelming. But that's what we love about King's books, isn't it? What I don't like: The bad guy has supernatural powers. It's as if I'm reading a fairy tale about a wicked sorcerer who waves a magic wand and chants charmed incantations to perform his evil deeds. The story would have been stronger had the villain and his malfeasance been more believable. While I recommend the book, I hope it is not an indication that Stephen King is nearing the end of his writing watch. What a run he's had!

    3rd book in a trilogy..but it also stands alone if you haven't read the other two...another of his...it is bizarre but within the realm of possibility...King fans will not ne dissappointed
