This instrument finish is not nickel; it is gold lacquer. Not a big deal, but not as described. It also appears to have been a demonstration instrument. There is slight wear from being played, but minimal. It is not pristine as a new instrument is expected to be, but looks new from any reasonable distance. It is still a very good price, and will meet the needs of what it was purchased for. It shipped very quickly, so I am very happy about that.
