As a teenager, ugly duckling Mia (Anne Hathaway) learned that she was actually a princess. Now that the Princess has completed college in America, she is returning to her country, Genovia. Since Mia is turning 21, Queen Clarisse (Julie Andrews) plans to step down and give her granddaughter the throne. But evil Viscount Mabrey (Jonathan Rhys-Davies) believes his nephew is the rightful heir, and Parliament decides that Mia will have to abide by an age-old Genovian law: no Queen shall rule without a husband. Mia has just thirty days to marry if she is to retain the throne that her family has held for over 500 years. The kindhearted but clumsy princess also has to win over the Genovian people and survive the constant paparazzi. Although a charming Englishman (Callum Blue) seems to fit the arranged marriage bill, Mia also finds herself drawn to the very man that is vying for the throne, the dashing Nicholas (Chris Pine). But can she trust her foe's intentions? Will Mia follow her heart, or sacrifice love for her country?     Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway Again

    This sequel got a lot of bad reviews when it first opened in movie theaters, but I recommend they be ignored and people should give the movie a fair chance. I may be biased considering my favorite actresses are Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway. I will admit it is not as good as the first, but it definitely has its moments. In my opinion the best scene is Princess Mia's sleepover bridal shower with mattress surfing and Julie Andrews singing "Your Crowning Glory." There is plenty of humor in this movie especially with Mia and the young man claiming the throne. There relationship is a love hate one, but where will it end. Will they fall in love or will Mia marry the English photographer?

    Princess Diaries

    This was a replacement movie since my original was mislaid. It is the sequel to "Princess Diaries " one. This was Anne Hathaway's first movie, and her charming relationship with Julie Andrews was stunning even off set. Great family movie!

    Buy it if your kids liked PD, the first movie.

    A good, fun movie and sequel. The main 3 characters are what you expect, no disappointments. Only a little of the film is contrived for the sake of plot. My daughter loves it and I'm glad I bought it. We've watched it 3 times, so far. We have a regular 4:3 large screen and I use the zoom on our dvd player to make it semi-full-screen and it's fine, that way.

    The continuation of Part Two of the movie was excellent too! The characters, plots and endings were extremely thought out well!
