    Join in the Conspiracy Theory

    Many years before Mel Gibson went all anti-Semite and a few years before Julia Roberts won her Best Actress Oscar, they were busy starring in films like Conspiracy Theory, a criminally underrated masterpiece that has thrills and chills and no cat scares or incessant jump scares. It's thrilling and may look the same compared to other NYC-based thrillers but it deals with different things and worries. Jerry is a taxi driver who's busy spouting off conspiracy theories to anyone whether they want to listen or not. Alice is a Justice Department official who has a clear sense of right and wrong and acts on it. Their paths ultimately collide and they eventually find themselves on the run from a shady organization, which is living proof of the validity of one of Jerry's conspiracy theories, ...

    Great movie!

    Mel and Julia Roberts are great in this very different romantic comedy. "Jerry" is just a "conspiracy theorist" with many crazy ideas... right? Except for one little problem... conspiracies DO EXIST, they always have existed, and Jerry is right in the middle of a big one! Slowly, the woman he has always loved from afar gets dragged into it too! Is he nuts? It sure seems that way, but you better let the movie fill you in!

    Conspiracy Theory - Great Cast

    I've had this since they first released it. It is one of my favorite movies (albeit Mel has dumped himself since then, but thats not the point of this review). Great actiong by Mel - plays the perfect nut, until the plot thickens. Love the music score. Supporting cast - Julia Roberts and Patrick Stewart (Patty plays a nasty roque deep CIA, or whatever, Agent). I agrree with one of the other reviewers, why didn't this movie get more attention? If I didn't have the vhs, would probably get the DVD, but oh well. I find it interesting over and over again. The ramblings of a theorist as jokes, the action, how everything ties together, is just great film (and fund). See it for yourself.

    A Sleeper

    This movie does not appear to be a blockbuster from its reviews or box office numbers but it is truly an entertaining choice for a Saturday night at home. The story is great the acting wonderful and you never know what to expect next. Oh yeah, it has a cute red head. That's enough to see it even if it were not as good as describe.
