The top computer game franchise continues to branch out onto other platforms, as it explores a new lifestyle in this spin-off title. Like the 2003 console versions of The Sims and The Sims Bustin' Out, The Urbz: Sims in the City uses the life simulation of the popular PC series as the basis for a role-playing game with a familiar, modern setting. Instead of the pastoral suburban neighborhoods of earlier games, however, The Urbz plays out in a fast-paced city where style and reputation are the keys to success.<br><br>Each game revolves around the player's single character, as he or she makes friends and gains the cultural understanding required to be accepted as an insider in the city's various districts. Each of the city's areas is designed with a distinctive cultural style. Shops and services in each area offer different items that can help the Urbz chase their goals and allow them to develop their own unique personalities.<br><br>Most city areas also have clubs or other meeting places, but in order to fit in, the player's character will have to show respect to the locals and learn the social interactions they use. The handheld versions of the Urbz have players competing with a greedy boss character called Daddy Bigbucks, who wants to take over the city of "Miniopolis" and keep its best locations all to himself. If characters can develop a strong reputation, however, by meeting new people, visiting new locations, and even raising a custom pet, they'll be able to use their influence to keep the city a happy and rewarding place for all their friends.

    The Urbz: Sims in the City (Nintendo DS, 2004)

    I'm a big fan of the sims franchise games. This has a fun story, silly characters and just all around is a good time. I appreciate it coming with the box as well though I think that DS games are pretty pricey considering they're going out the window soon with the switch maybe that's just me.

    Urbz, for Nintendo DS is a portable version of the Sims world. For those of us that are familar with the wide variety of Sims experiences available on PC and on home gaming consoles, this little game makes a fun version to have on hand for waiting in lines, at the doctor's office or traveling. Those of you not initiated into the Sims universe or who are younger gamers will appreciate the turn it on and jump in style of this game. This incarnation of the Sims starts off with the ability to create your own persona and name it...although the choices aren't huge - customization is still satisfying. Got your character ready? GO! Right from the start there are people to talk to and a mini game to play to earn some cash. Your character needs a place to crash, since the bad guy has bought ...

    AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

    This game is awesome. There is so much to do too. You can get in with a specific crowd. Theres mini games. You can make money. Collect items. Furnish your house. (There are tons of items and furniture you can collect!) Buy a new house. Unlock things Go to the moon. etc etc etc It has an interesting story line. Theres always something to do! If you liked any sims game or if you liked Nintendogs then you will probably love this too! It has great use of the stylus and the dual screens. It is a light hearted great game. Worth every penny!

    Great Deal, Good to be back!

    Really glad I got this and it was a great deal. The game plays exactly like I remember and looks better than I thought it would at this point haha. Really enjoyed this game a decade ago, glad to finally own it again.

    Complete and in working order
